honestly, I have a hard time focusing my interests for long periods of time,

particularly if they're not giving me much success.

I haven't given up on fashion blogging, but I wanted to try something different, so I started filming some

videos for YouTube!

my first video is a lookbook, and I'd love if you checked it out~

despite having a DSLR, I still had to film with my iPod camera and edit with iMovie... 

not the most professional, but I'm doing the best I can with what I have!

(also just realized this is my 100th post on this blog - woohoo!)

most of what I got for Christmas this year was clothing, 

plus I was my own Santa a couple times and bought myself a few things recently. 

so I've got lots to work with as far as doing looks!

one thing I'm very excited about is this sweater from Free People.

normally, Free People is way out of my budget, but my mom found out that Macy's has a small

Free People selection, so she ended up getting this sweater for me for less than half price.

even if plaid wasn't a trend right now, I think I'd still be obsessed with it.

anyway, the last time I posted a look (just last week)

it was snowing.... and today it's 60 degrees. I swear we receive the most dicey weather on the globe.

hopefully as it gets closer to the holidays it'll cool back down and snow!

it's snowing today and it's really beautiful! I was planning on taking lots of photos

but the snow quickly turned watery and it's starting to become not so beautiful...

in other news, I got a haircut this weekend

I got quite a bit off and it seems like a huge difference to me, though most people haven't noticed.

funny, how that works I guess.

so Tuesday was just as much of a drag as Monday

but it did cheer me up a little to be wearing a top covered in cats.

I mean, how cute is that?!

and good thing it was under $10... because I have to go buy gas tonight.

the weather has cooled down, making the afternoons pleasantly chilly

although the mornings, not so much. my fingers feel like they're going to freeze off while I'm driving to school!

I'm realizing that it's now "sweater weather" and while I do have plenty of sweaters, they're mostly

pretty thin. I can't wear this one all the time, so I'm on the hunt for more!

I also wanted to showcase my nails in that goofy shot...

I painted my left hand nails white and my right hand nails black

I love the uniqueness and I'm basing my wardrobe this week on a black and white color scheme.

WHEN I COME UNDONE

ugh so of course

the day I decide to get back into making looks, my pictures turn out all gross!

anyway, I've been putting a lot of time and energy into my photography lately, which is one

reason I haven't been doing looks. 

however, something always draws me back to this. I'm so excited to be wearing fall clothes, so hopefully

I'll have plenty of outfits to show~

the first few weeks of school were so hot that I was stuck wearing my summer clothes

and tucking my new clothes away!

however, it's starting to cool down and I've finally taken the tags off my new jeans and sweaters

and worn them.

sometimes I wish the temperature could stay in the 60s and 70s though because

I'm quickly realizing how miserable winter will be,

especially now that I'm driving myself to school and can't get a parking spot close to the doors.

so I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts!

SICK AND IMPATIENT

it finally felt like fall today! 

the cool weather isn't supposed to last, but I'm enjoying it while it's here.

I actually had to come home and layer up a bit before doing this look because I was cold,

which seems crazy because it was excruciatingly hot yesterday when I 

went to a local arts festival.

I really loved the outfit I wore today, but sadly it didn't translate very well to camera :(

also, I'm afraid that sometimes my outfits look much more boring in photos

than they do in real life.

anyway, it's still hot out

I'm glad I bought at least one "summery" item during back to school shopping (this top)

because it's still absolutely scorching outside.

it's been in the high 80's since school started and it's going to stay that way for another

week or so!

I do enjoy the summer, but I do look forward to wearing my cat sweater and jeans and boots.

oh, and not having crazy, frizzed out hair

THE BITTER END

today was my first day of school.

I wasn't all that excited, and it turns out my expectations were still too high.

on the bright side, I got my first car!

I've had my license a while, but I didn't get a car right away.

I was lucky enough to find a used silver VW Bug, and I think it's perfect for me :)

I wore this outfit to get my school picture taken today.

believe it or not, I found this dress on the sale rack at Target, it was only ~$12

(but I guess if you don't like it, then you can believe that)

I paired it with my new ankle boots and kept accessories simple.

one of the teachers working there asked why I was dressed up

which seemed strange to me... I thought everyone dressed up for school pictures!

kids these days...
