spring hues

normally I like to keep my photos dark and blue-toned

but this spring weather is making me want to take super colorful pictures!

another year

today I turned sixteen. 

I don't feel any different really.. and I won't be taking my driving test for another few weeks.

also, the power went out for about an hour tonight! what horrible luck

overall, it really was lovely though.
I got a couple of things for my room, I ought to take some pictures one of these
days because I think I have a cool room.
anyways, most likely I'll post a look or two this week!

it snowed even more this morning, I can say without a doubt this is the most

beautiful my neighborhood has ever looked. 

I'm happy with how my photos turned out, although I was freezing during the entire

shoot and still haven't warmed back up!

winter solstice

today's the winter solstice, and since my current album (for photos)

is called solstice, I figured I should take pictures.

plus, it's snowing for the first time this winter! it's absolutely wonderful

and I hope I get another chance to do a snow-shoot

perhaps in the woods.

I took some photos on a whim today after shooting a new look

which I'll post tomorrow. 

both were in the exact same spot at practically the same time, but I feel like they

have very different messages. I don't know, I like them

but maybe I'll wake up in the morning and decide I hate them.

rainy day

inside myself is a place where I live all alone

I was going to do a look today... but it rained!

the best I could do was a little indoor photography.

I have to remind myself that I should be putting my photography before my looks,

it's been far too long since I did a proper shoot. 

so even if I only post one or two looks a week, I'll still share my 

photography if I do that instead!

you might remember my post about the photo contest...

so today at school they announced the photo contest winners.. and I was one of them!

surprisingly, this was my winning photo. this wasn't the one I expected to be chosen

but as my brother said, 'a win's a win!'

the more I look at this photo, the more it starts to grow on me

which is good because it becomes a permanent part of the school

by the end of the year, it'll be hanging in a big ol' frame in the hallway... I look forward to that!
